ShortReel ("the app") is a short-video and watch-party application for Android. This page explains what the app stores and what it does not.

What the app stores

• A randomly generated installation identifier, used only to deliver watch-party invitations.
• Your clips and captions, stored locally in the app's private storage on your device.

What the app does not do

• It does not upload your clips unless you explicitly send one to a room.
• It does not build an advertising profile and shows no advertising.
• It does not read your contacts, messages, or call history.

Permissions

• Camera / Microphone — only while you are recording a clip.
• Storage — to save exported clips to your album.
• Network — to join a watch-party room you were invited to.

Removing your data

Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored clips and the installation identifier.
